What is FeatherWel?
FeatherWel is supported by The Tubney Charitable Trust and aims to provide advice on practical strategies to reduce the risk of injurious pecking occuring in non-cage laying hens during both the rearing and laying periods. The support for these strategies is based on scientific evidence, experience from industry and the results of the Bristol Pecking Project. This website summarises the key management strategies that have been found to prevent and reduce injurious pecking in laying flocks across the UK.
